Student Academic Rep of the Year for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Rob Lloyd

The School has celebrated success once again at this year’s annual awards, with multiple nominations and a win in the Student Representative category.

The School’s five worthy nominees were Dr Frances Rock, Dr Gerard O'Grady (Outstanding Doctoral Supervisor category), Professor Ann Heilmann (Most Innovative Member of Staff), Sarah Millward (Student Representative coordinator of the year) and Rob Lloyd (Student Academic Rep of the Year).

Running for eight years, the Enriching Student Life Awards (The ESLAs) celebrate those who have gone the extra mile for students at the University. All nominees are invited to attend the awards ceremony held annually in early May.

Winning Student Academic Rep of the Year for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Rob Lloyd said: “I became a student rep in my first year at Cardiff, and it has been a genuine pleasure to represent the student voice at all levels since then, from undergraduates through to postgraduate tutors. It is deeply rewarding to see the positive impact and influence that student representatives continue to have, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is interested in being involved. My thanks go to staff in English Literature for the respect and collegiality they have shown me in the role, and particularly to Dr Irene Morra for her extensive support and collaboration.”
