Afternoon tea for scholarship winners

27 November 2017

CARBS scholarship winners

The success of Cardiff Business School’s scholarship winners has been celebrated with an afternoon tea event attended by Dean Professor Martin Kitchener in the Executive Education Suite.

The postgraduates are studying across the School’s entire portfolio of graduate programmes and have successfully secured Chevening Scholarships, Commonwealth Scholarships, and Cardiff University’s GREAT and Master’s Excellence Scholarships between them.

Professor Kitchener said: “It’s a pleasure to take some time to celebrate the success of our outstanding postgraduate student community.

“The prestigious nature of the scholarships they have successfully secured is evidence of their talent...”

“I’m sure I speak on behalf of the entire School when I say how much we are looking forward to helping them realise their potential through participation on our graduate programmes.”

Part of the School’s ambitious Public Value Strategy, launched in 2015, is the aim to impart to students a moral sentiment and sympathetic imagination towards the social and economic challenges of our time through an innovative, interdisciplinary and challenge-led curriculum.

This type of public value teaching is typical of what the scholarship winners will encounter over the course of their postgraduate study.
