Janet Peters, Director of University Libraries, has been elected Chair of the Board of RLUK (Research Libraries UK).
RLUK is a consortium of institutions with a national or international reputation for scholarship and research information facilities, which seek to shape and realise the vision of the modern research library.
"It’s a great honour to be elected to the post of Chair of RLUK," said Janet Peters. "I hope to build on the legacy of Phil Sykes, the former Chair, and help develop RLUK’s role in driving developments in the UK’s research libraries.
"Here at Cardiff, our library service has a good reputation in providing services and resources for research, and I believe our membership of RLUK has helped to build this," continued Janet. "I hope that during my period as Chair, RLUK will continue to make this difference to University library services across the UK, improving all our services for researchers."
