PhD studentship on key research theme available

Fully funded studentship on theme of adaptations around mobilities, flows and migration

Cardiff Business School supported by the ESRC Doctoral Training Centre for Wales (Wales DTC) invites applications for one full-time fully-funded PhD studentship in Management and Business Studies (or Economics) for the 2012/13 academic year.

The Studentship will be based within the Sustainable Places Research Institute at Cardiff University, and will focus on one of its key research themes "Adaptations around mobilities, flows and migration". Possible research areas could include:

  • the sustainability impacts of workforce migration;
  • travel behaviours and tourism;
  • transport and logistics systems;
  • the "off-shoring" of economic activities; and
  • regional economic investment flows.

The research theme adaptations around mobilities flows and migration is led by Dr Leanne Cullen-Unsworth and Prof. Ken Peattie

Deadline for application is 25th June 2012, for study to start in October 2012.
