The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences recently hosted an event supporting the Jubilee Sailing Trust in Wales.
The evening incorporated an art auction, selling works donated by local artists. The theme of the Artwork was Maritimia and will remain on display in the School until Christmas.
Hosted by Professor Tim Wess, who also took on the role of auctioneer, total sales at the event came in at £2,455.
The money will be used to support voyages for people with low vision on the Lord Nelson and Tenacious, the Jubilee Sailing Trust’s vessels, which are equipped to allow physically disabled people to sail.
Professor Wess said: "Events such as ours help raise awareness and support for the Jubilee Sailing Trust. We would like to thank all those who supported us on a highly successful evening."
