03 July 2008
The Wales Governance Centre is hosting a major conference in Brussels on Wales in Europe.
The conference, to be held in Ty Cymru/Wales House on July 3-4th 2008, will bring together practitioners, academics and other stakeholders from across Europe to deliberate the theme of Wales in Europe.
Along with several representatives from Cardiff University, the conference will unite speakers from across the UK, from several other European countries (Germany, France, Romania, Poland, Latvia, and Spain) along with representatives of the Welsh Assembly Government, UKREP, the European Commission and various professional associations.
The conference, which has been generously funded by HEFCW’s Innovation and Engagement fund and the British Council in Wales, is the third in a series of conferences that have accompanied the new more comparative direction of the Wales Governance Centre since 2006. The WGC aims to be a primary national and international reference point concerning the political and legal implications of the creation and growth in the activities of the National Assembly for Wales and Welsh Assembly Government; and the development of other equivalent institutions and relationships in the UK and internationally.
For further information and to view the conference programme please visit the events section of the WGC website.
