Jamie, who gained his first Welsh cap in 2008, is one of 37 players selected by Lions coach Ian McGeechan for the tour of South Africa.
The Cardiff Blues and Wales player has been chosen in the Centre position, alongside Wales’ Tom Shanklin, Brian O’Driscoll and Keith Earls from Ireland and Riki Flutey, England.
In total, 13 Welsh players have been selected for the squad, including Shane Williams and Leigh Halfpenny. They depart on 24 May 2009 for a 10-match tour and play Test matches in Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg.
The Lions is a rugby union team made up of players from Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England.
