Enterprising students are being invited to enter a team in a new business challenge to demonstrate just how innovative they can be and be in with the chance to win £1000.
The Npower 2008 Innovation Challenge is testing teams of students to use their ingenuity, inventiveness and creativity to develop an idea and to action it.
Open to students from all Societies, AU Clubs and IMG teams in the Cardiff University Students’ Union the challenge has been sponsored by the energy company Npower and organised by Student Enterprise in association with the Societies Postgraduate & International Officer and Athletic Union President.
The Challenge? To create as much ‘value’ as possible from an everyday object, which can be artistic or monetary value, or adding social, community or environmental value and present the idea in a short three minute video or Powerpoint presentation to be in with the chance of winning a cash prize for their AU Club, Society or IMG team.
The object will be revealed to participating teams on Monday 17th November, the start of the UK-wide Enterprise Week, which takes place from 17-23 November 2008 and winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
Teams then have until midnight on Sunday 23rd November to think of an idea, action it and to submit their account of what they did. Prizes will be awarded for the best idea not the best video.
