16 November 2007
Pianist Bryan Davies will join international students from the University’s academy to train opera stars as they give their last Song Recital performance in the current series.
Held over the month of November, the Song Recitals are part of the Autumn Concert Series which give students from the Cardiff International Academy of Voice the opportunity to showcase their vocal and performance talent in front of a public audience.
Tonight (16 November) singers from the Academy will perform a selection of songs in a concert entitled ‘Littered under Mercury’ with pianist Bryan Davies playing alongside them.
Although this is the last of the current Song Recitals, the Autumn Concert Series will culminate in an Operatic Gala on 30 November.
Tickets for tonight’s Song Recital or the Operatic Gala can be bought for £9 (concessions £7) on 029 2048 1853. The concert will start at 7.30pm at the University Concert Hall, Corbett Road, CF10 3EB and further details of the concert series can be found at http://events.cardiff.ac.uk/
