Impact at the School of Music

We are committed to communicating our research beyond academia by influencing creative practice, shaping public discussion, and leading debates within the discipline.

We play a direct role in the musical life of Cardiff, with our own research-related concert series, as well as regular radio, television, and public engagement activities.

Our collaborative relationships with the BBC (including BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, and BBC Radio Wales), Welsh National Opera and National Museum Wales also help us to play a major role in the cultural landscape.
