Rehearsal Rooms

There are over 25 practice rooms, most of which have pianos and many of which have mirrors to aid practice.

For small group rehearsals there are two Ensemble Rooms, one with a grand piano. The Octagon Foyer is also used for ensemble rehearsals.

In addition to the practice rooms, there are also rooms especially set aside for percussion, harp, organ (a two-manual Allen practice organ) and double-bass players, together with several secure rooms for instrumental storage. The School also possesses two Roland electronic pianos (one of them in the Octagon Foyer), a harp, a large selection of percussion instruments, and a number of orchestral instruments (including a double bass, harp, alto flute, bass clarinet and contrabassoon) which are available for students to borrow.

It is advisable to book practice rooms in advance. Please contact the Music Office for details.
