Doctoral studentship

Cardiff University has a longstanding history of attracting the best and brightest minds from around the world. In keeping with this tradition, the School will be nominating up to two candidates for the University's Overseas Research Scholarships scheme (tuition fees only). One successful candidate will also receive an international studentship from the School of Music to cover maintenance costs.

The deadline for receipt of applications by the School of Music is 3 May 2013. The Awards Panel will meet in mid June and successful applicants will be notified at the beginning of July.

International Scholarship Fund

Cardiff University offers a highly prestigious International Scholarship Fund designed to attract and reward the brightest students.

There is a wide range of distinct scholarships available for international students, at all academic levels:  UndergraduatePostgraduate Taught, and PhD.

Dr Sarah Hill, a native of California, first came to Cardiff as an MA in Music, Culture and Politics student. She stayed on to complete her PhD on Welsh popular music and has been a member of the faculty since 2007. In this video, she discusses her experiences here as a postgraduate student.
