Rehearsals for University Choir and Symphony Orchestra
Rehearsals are held in the School of Music Concert Hall (Corbett Road, next door to Aberdare Hall). The entrance for rehearsals is through the main entrance of the School of Music building.
All music is provided and there are NO subscription fees!

- 9.00)
(Please note that we are often asked whether there is room to store instruments but the School regrets that storage space is reserved for Music Students only) - The Choir meets every Thursday (7.00 - 9.00)
Choir Membership
All music students have open access. For new students from other Schools in the university and new members from the local community, entry will be subject to a brief audition (aural ability, sight-reading, vocal range). For current members from Schools other than Music and those from the local community, re-auditions will take place in January 2011.
Orchestra Membership
The standard expected for new entrants is a minimum of Grade 8 or equivalent. Entry for wind and brass will be by short informal audition. String players are invited to audition for principal positions; members will be expected to have Grade 8 or be prepared to audition at the discretion of the conductor.
