Chamber Orchestra

Chamber orchestra

The University Chamber Orchestra usually gives at least two concerts each year, sometimes in combination with the Chamber Choir. Among its recent repertoire have been Bach's Orchestral Suite no.2 and Beethoven's First Piano Concerto.

Concert Dates for 2014-15:

The Chamber Orchestra rehearses every Wednesday afternoon in the University Concert Hall in the School of Music.

The Chamber Orchestra is, as its name suggests, a smaller ensemble than the Symphony Orchestra, and positions are gained by audition. Non-music students are welcome. Auditions are usually held once a year in the first week of the Autumn semester. Schedules are usually displayed on the notice board in the main entrance of the School of Music - so keep your eyes posted if you would like to be considered!
