The Clinical Innovation Partnership

We are extremely proud of our close partnerships with both the NHS and healthcare industry. As a result of these partnerships, Cardiff has been acknowledged as a centre of Excellence for Precision Medicine.

The importance of clinical innovation in bringing about patient, health, economic and societal benefit is recognised by both the University and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. These shared goals have been captured by the formation of the Clinical Innovation Partnership, which helps to facilitate a close working relationship between the health board and Cardiff University.

This partnership has led to the establishment of the Clinical Innovation Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). This unique group of experts brings together the expertise of clinicians, academics with that of industry and local government partners to offer advice and support.

The Clinical Innovation Hub plays an integral role in this team.
