Joint Honours Programmes

It is possible to study Mathematics in conjunction with another discipline if one takes a Joint Honours degree. This opens up interesting possibilities for choice of career.

Computing & Mathematics (BSc)

Computing may be combined with Mathematics for the award of a BSc degree. In each year you take 12 modules, six in Mathematics, and six in Computing. In the first two years there is a core of pure mathematics modules with choice to specialise in either statistics or computational mathematics. In the final year, you may choose from a wide range of modules.

Mathematics & Humanities Subject (BA)

Mathematics can be combined with one of a range of other disciplines from the Humanities for the award of a BA degree including French, German, Religious Studies, Music, Philosophy and Welsh. You will study some core Pure Mathematics modules and can choose whether to further specialise in Statistics or Applied Mathematics.

Mathematics & Physics (BSc)

This course allows for the students who want a broader science base to study in more than just one School. Physics may be combined with Mathematics for the award of a BSc degree. In each year you take 12 modules, six in Mathematics, and six in Physics.
