Every two years we run a week-long programme of events in Cardiff for international librarians. The week involves lectures, tours, networking events and plenty of opportunities to share ideas.

Our first event took place in 2009 and featured four days of seminars and workshops. Over recent years we have expanded our events to include off-site visits to locations such as the Cardiff Central Library and the St. Fagans National History Museum. The talks have also included presentations from participants, drawing on their own experiences and areas of expertise.

You can also request additional, individually tailored training or sessions appropriate to your areas of interest with relevant members of staff. In previous years, attendees have opted to attend information literacy classes or meet with staff in areas such as acquisitions and digitisation.

The programme is constantly being updated to reflect changing priorities and developments within the sector. View the programme from 2016 to explore the type of sessions you can expect at our next event, it may also be of use when applying for funding to attend one of our events.
