Reading is a great way of practising your Welsh – it helps to improve your vocab, practise your patterns and it also helps with your listening and reading skills.
Join one of our Reading Clubs to meet other learners, to practice your Welsh and to discover some good books.

A trip around the Millennium Stadium
It’s important that you make the most of every opportunity you have to practise your Welsh and so we’ve created a full timetable of activities for you every term. Come and have fun through speaking Welsh and make friends with loads of other learners of every level. Go to the calendar to see all of the activities which have been organised for you.

Keep an eye out for Fflam y Ddraig!
Fflam will be coming to every event. Look out for him when you arrive in order to find all of the other learners. Here he is on the left..
There will be loads of courses full of fun all year round including:
- Saturday Courses – theses courses will be in different locations all over Cardiff and the Vale all year round and will including extra lessons and fun activities!
- Weekend Courses – this course will give you the chance to have extra lessons and also to speak Welsh over the whole weekend!
- Residential Course – Come with us to Ferryside to enjoy the fresh air, to have more lessons and fun in Welsh and to sing in Welsh in the pub in the evening!

Here are all of the other activities which will give you a chance to have fun in Welsh!:
- Walking Trips – Come and join the Valeways walking group on the first weekend of every month to enjoy the Vale’s lovely views and to speak Welsh to learners and fluent Welsh speakers
- Learners Eisteddfod Choir – If you enjoy singing you’re very welcome to join the choir. Here’s your chance to make new friends, practise your Welsh, learn loads of Welsh songs and compete in the National Eisteddfod!
- Evenings in the Mochyn Du – Come and enjoy the social evenings in the Mochyn Du which take place on the first Friday evening of every month. This is a chance for you to have lots of fun and to chat in Welsh with learners of all levels.
- Coffee and Chat Weekly Meetings – Loads of learners meet every week to enjoy a cuppa and practise their Welsh. Go to the calendar and see if you’re able to join them
