
60/120 hour Welsh course - £149/£295
Welsh courses for people who are reasonably confident in Welsh / who have completed the Sylfaen Course. Main emphasis is still on speaking, but you will also be gradually introduced to a little more writing, reading and listening. You will feel comfortable holding a conversation about everyday topics by the end of this level.
Completion time
Once a week = 2 years; twice or more a week = 1 year.
Options
Intermediate Leisurely 1 & 2 (once a week)
Welsh lessons once a week for two years. (Year 1 - Canolradd 1. Year 2 - Canolradd 2).
Intermediate Accelerated (twice or more a week)
Welsh lessons twice a week or more for one year.
Intermediate Blended Accelerated
(50% classroom learning, 50% Online learning)
Half the lessons in the classroom (2 hours a week) and half the lessons online in your own time (2 hours a week).
Summer Course (4 weeks full time)
A Welsh course over the summer, 9am to 5pm.(4 weeks – Canolradd).
Want to Sit an Exam?
This is entirely up to you. Some people choose to sit an accredited WJEC exam ‘Using Welsh: Intermediate level’ (Defnyddio’r Gymraeg: Canolradd) at the end of this course, which is GCSE level.
