Live Local - Learn Local
Our Community Outreach Program is an innovative project, bringing FREE courses close to where people live and work in SE Wales.
Up to 40 FREE short courses deliver attractive and flexible learning opportunities, designed to help support community-based students progress to the next stage, whether that is work, college or university.

Get in touch if you'd like to join, we may have spaces available.
Courses start from January 2012, and will focus on those living in wards where university participation rates are low. The Program will be designed and run in collaboration with local organisations and other learning providers. Our first consultation meeting attracted Communities First co-ordinators, local authority Education and Engagement staff along with a wide range of voluntary sector projects. Currently we are developing more detailed plans in specific locations, so please get in touch if you are interested in a course running in your area.
The project follows on from a successful pilot, summer 2011, where Live Local Learn Local delivered 36 community-based courses in the Communities First Wards in Cardiff. We have an opportunity now to build on the initial collaboration and develop courses that extend and enhance current community learning provision.
