A-level Master Classes - AIM HIGH
These classes combine academic subject support just before exams along with advice and guidance regarding careers.
Available for:
- Maths
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology (provision)
- English
Directed at AS students studying at inner-city Cardiff and the Valleys schools, these classes will provide a boost to your revision. Potentially helping you achieve a higher grade at A-level and hopefully your first choice of University.
3 days of support to include:
Places will be allocated to AS students in high schools or colleges in Community First Areas. Please get in contact if you are interested in attending.

2 days of intensive revision
Timed just before the AS exams you will receive:
- extra resources for revision
- practice questions under exam conditions

University Visit Day (date to follow shortly)
Held in June after the AS exams, this day will help you decide:
- Is university for me?
- What is student life like?
- Is it affordable?
- What support can I expect?
- What will they expect of me academically?
The day is a particularly useful opportunity to meet some of the university academic staff who will be involved in making offers to those applying to university.
You will receive subject specific advice regarding:
- What career options are out there
- What is it like to study the subject at Cardiff
- How the Academic dept can support you
- Free lunch in the student Union
- Afternoon session will include a hands-on science or humanities activity of your choice.
