David Tolley teaches in two subject areas. He has been teaching the professional Spanish Translation qualification course at the Centre since 2002 and currently teaches the subject online at different levels and Spanish History both live and online.
He also teaches Spanish, again live and online, at other universities and runs both Spanish and Spanish History courses privately. His specialities within Spanish History include the Spanish Civil War, Dictatorship & the Transition to Democracy and Moorish Spain. David is a freelance translator and also works as a private tutor and educational mentor. Across his work, he works with all levels from beginners to postgraduates.
Within Business and Management, David has a background in public sector management including as a performance auditor. He teaches a suite of courses on leadership, management and organizational behaviour, the business environment and strategic business analysis. He teaches Business and Management courses at other universities and works as a private consultant in such areas as change management, performance management, time management and motivation.
David gets his own motivation from working with students at all levels across his subject range and helping them to expand their knowledge, understanding and abilities.
