Ana Costa was born in Galicia and she has a BA (Hon) in English from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She also did a Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language course with the Cervantes Institute.
She taught in a language school in Santiago and then in 2003 she moved to Cardiff where she started teaching Spanish at Cardiff Language Academy and she worked as Spanish language assistant in the Open University.
She taught in the School of European Languages as a foreign language assistant from 2006 to 2010. In January 2006 she joined the Centre for Lifelong Learning where she has been teaching Spanish at all levels ever since.
She has also taught specialised Spanish to undergraduates from the School of Medicine.
She is committed to providing students with a dynamic and interesting learning environment in which they can grow and develop their language skills. She always aims to encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities and study groups, which she believes instils them with a self-directed lifelong experience.
She loves travelling, reading and music. She has a great interest in learning other languages and exploring their cultures.
