Introduction to Sustainability in the Built Environment – Who’s Presenting?
The Welsh School of Architecture (WSA) has a reputation of being one of the best schools in the UK. It is recognised internationally for its research and has a number of research centres and economically important programmes.
Arising directly from research is a number of training opportunities.
- BEST (Built Environment Sustainability Training) aims to deliver evidence-based training to built environment professionals based upon 4 key themes – waste, water, low carbon energy and construction (both on and off site).
- WEST (Welsh Energy Sector Training) aims to deliver training based upon the technological research from the Low Carbon Research Institute, therefore making research on hydrogen, large scale power generation, low carbon built environment, marine energy and solar energy accessible to industry.
- The Centre for Research in the Built Environment (CRiBE) focuses on the field of sustainable built environment, and has a number of training outputs available to benefit industry.
