WSA has an established national and international reputation for research and teaching.  It has founded a number of technically based research centres, including the Low Carbon Research Institute, the BRE Centre for Sustainable Design of the Built Environment (SuDoBE), the Centre for Research in the Built Environment (CRiBE), and the Design Research Unit (DRU). Currently the Welsh Energy Sector Training project (WEST) is working to expand the scope and content of the CPD delivered by the school in the field of low carbon design.
