Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) II develops many of the ideas from the first ACT course.

This time we will draw on metaphors to explore ideas such as courage and confidence, fear and daring, to help us understand what motivates and stimulates us to live the life we desire.

The course is open to all who have completed ACT I.

Learning and teaching

The course is taught through a mix of:

  • lectures
  • student reflection
  • working in pairs or small groups to complete worksheets.

Reading suggestions

  • Dr Russ Harris: The Happiness Trap
  • Dr Russ Harris: The Confidence Gap

Further readings will be suggested throughout the course.
