The Pathway to Healthcare has been designed for adults who may have been away from formal education for a number of years. Courses are taught part-time and you will study in a relaxed and supportive environment.  After studying part-time successful students will be able to make an application to an undergraduate degree in one of the following subject areas:

  1. Adult Nursing
  2. Mental Health Nursing
  3. Paediatric Nursing
  4. Midwifery
  5. Occupational Therapy
  6. Operating Department Practice
  7. Radiology and Radiotherapy

Students wishing to study on this pathway will need to obtain 60 credits including two compulsory core modules (40 credits) and additional optional modules (equal to 20 credits).  You must contact the Coordinator before enrolling on your optional modules as some are more relevant to your chosen nursing degree.

Applicants wishing to enrol on all these Pathways will need 5 GCSEs, grades A-C , to include Maths and English/Welsh. For the Pathway to Radiology and Radiotherapy you will need 5 GCSEs, grades A-C, including Double Science (or Physics and another Science), Maths and English/Welsh.
