Accessibility for Disabled Students
The Centre for Lifelong Learning seeks to make all of its programmes accessible. We want to welcome everyone to our courses and are doing our best to accommodate, whether in terms of access to buildings or aids to learning. Our Reception is happy to answer any questions you have concerning this issue.
The University is committed to improving access to its facilities. Its plans include items specifically relating to facilities for students who have particular requirements, as well as planned refurbishment to enhance access to the environment generally. Work has either been carried out or is continuing to provide ramps, escape chairs, automatic entrance doors, wider corridor doors, motorised doors to lifts, alarms and accessible toilet facilities.
The Centre for Lifelong Learning also uses premises owned by other organisations and in these cases we aim to ensure that they are as accessible as possible given local circumstances.
We are able to accommodate the needs of people with visual or hearing impairment on many courses, on request. Please let us know if you require these or other facilities, either when completing the enrolment form or by contacting Dr Jill Baird (Tel: 029 2087 4953 firstname.lastname@example.org).
We may also be able to provide maps and further relevant information regarding parking etc.
