Candy's Farewell
Hi everyone!
I’m Candy, a first year student of French, English and Spanish. I’ve been writing some of the French newsletter articles for you this year, and have had a great time doing it, and also learnt a lot! I hope this site has helped you too! This is the last newsletter of the year — I know, it seems early, but as I keep saying, university holidays are surprisingly long. Our lessons finish in May and our exams finish in June. Then we get almost four months summer holiday! Now if that isn’t a good enough reason to think about coming to university, then add to it the great time you’ll have making friends and joining societies. Things were a bit shaky at first for me — homesickness didn’t help — but after a few weeks I was really enjoying the lessons and everything else that goes with university life. Now the time has flown by and first year exams (all 3 of them — no, we don’t have a huge amount of those either) are just around the corner. If you need any help, or just want to ask about uni or anything else really, just post a note on the message boards and we’ll be happy to help!
