KTP Associate in Structural/Mechanical Engineering

DURATION: Fixed-term contract for 27 months.

ROLE: This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate/postgraduate civil/mechanical engineer managing a strategic project for Voltcom Construction Ltd, part of the Voltcom Group, whilst being supported by Cardiff University. We are looking to appoint a well-organised, highly motivated individual to take the lead role in an engineering project in the areas of portable, rapidly deployable structures used in conjunction with power–lines, roads, railways and pathways.

THE COMPANY: Voltcom Construction Limited supply the power industry with all aspects relating to Overhead, Underground and Substation maintenance programs.

COMPANY LOCATION: Llantrisant, Cardiff, CF72 8YX

SALARY AND PACKAGE: The salary will be circa £23,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. The rewards package includes an additional personal training and development budget. 

THE CANDIDATE: A BSc/BEng Degree (minimum 2:1) or higher in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. It would be advantageous, although not essential, for the Candidate to have some practical structural design engineering experience. The candidate will be able to plan, organise and prioritise work and be capable of working independently and as a part of a team to meet tight schedules. S/he will need the aptitude and personality to succeed in a company environment and must be able to demonstrate confidence, initiative and enthusiasm, where leadership qualities will be required and developed.
