Employability award winner Elliot Pill with IPRGCM course representative Sam Reid
Two of the school’s lecturers have been recognised at the Enriching Student Life Awards for their work to enhance the University experience of their students.
Elliot Pill won the Employability award in a challenging category from nominees Helen McNally (Careers Service) and Janet Williams (School of Maths) while Professor Duncan Bloy narrowly missed out on the top prize after being nominated in the Most Helpful Member of Staff category.
Elliot, who is Director of the JOMEC’s International Public Relations and Global Communications Management Masters degree, said, "I'd like to thank all the students who voted for me and special thanks to class student rep' Sam Reid.”
“The Employability Award recognises the great efforts of the IPRGCM team in supporting students as they prepare for life outside of University.
“The award also recognises the success of our course's Global Internship Programme. We pride ourselves on following and mentoring students on their career journey with many going on to do exceptional things and it is an honour to be a part of that process and work with such talent."
Now in its third year, the annual Enriching Student Life Awards aim to recognise the outstanding support and guidance given to students from a range of staff, be that academic or administrative.
