Sara Moseley will be the School's new Development Director

Sara Moseley has joined the School on secondment from the Welsh Government as Development Director.

Sara will lead on a number of new ventures and collaborations, including the establishment of the Centre for Community Journalism.

As Director of Communications for the Welsh Government she leads the communications profession in Wales and is responsible for Government communications across all devolved areas including education, transport, rural affairs and economic development.

Head of School Professor Justin Lewis said: "I'm delighted to have someone of Sara's talent and experience joining us, in what I'm sure will be an exciting collaboration on a range of new projects.

"I've known Sara for a while in her role at the Welsh Government and it will be a huge pleasure to have her in the School."

Responsible also for the digital service she believes that one of the major challenges now facing government communications is media fragmentation together with the shift to digital and the profound way that this is affecting public engagement and people's anchorage to their community.

With the twin challenges of less money and rising expectation, she is also clear about the need to share, learn and deliver across organisational barriers establishing and chairing a public service communications network, CommsCymru, who's membership now spans 60 organisations.
