Fully funded PhD scholarship announced

A new 3-year award, funded by European Social Fund - Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarship, will provided payment of tuition fees for a new PhD research student.
The scholarship will also include a maintenance stipend set at £14,099 per annum and research related expenses.
The research student will be based at the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Cardiff University.
The aim of the research is to evaluate the role and impact of new digital platforms for learning (often in competition with schools and universities), and specifically to examine the Do Lectures, a digital change platform established in West Wales in 2008 by David and Clare Hieatt, co-founders of the clothing company howies.
