The event lasts four days and features talks from Golley Slater, Tenovus and the BBC
The Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC) Careers Event will provide advice, ideas and guidance to help undergraduate students discover jobs and careers open to them after they graduate.
The event lasts four days and features talks from media companies, charities and the public sector. Each will provide their own unique insight into the exciting challenges and possibilities offered by their respective organisations and industries.
Postgraduate study options will be outlined by BBC Board Trustee and Director of the school’s Centre for Journalism Richard Tait.
School Director of Undergraduate Studies John Jewell said "The Media is a tough industry to get into, so the School and Cardiff University’s Careers Service organised this event to highlight some of the options available to our students and to provide first hand advice and information from careers professionals as well as major UK and international organisations such as Golley Slater, The Central Office of Information, Tenovus and the BBC.
"For us it’s an important part of the Cardiff experience to ensure the BA degree supports its students during and beyond their degree."
The event begins on Tuesday May 4 in Bute Building. For more information visit cardiff.ac.uk/carsv and go to News & Events or download the full agenda.
