Core Responsibilities

  • To provide technical support to staff and students
  • To maintain departmental and pool room equipment
  • Deal with computer hardware & software faults
  • Manage user accounts
  • Setup AV equipment for lectures & ensure it functions correctly
  • Deal with equipment faults
  • Ensure smooth running of technical areas
  • Assist with equipment bookings and off air recordings
  • Deal with technical queries as required
  • Setting up departmental laptops
  • Setting up video & audio server
  • Delegate work to the technical assistant
  • Undertake PAT testing & inventory duties
  • Offer technical advice to staff & students
