Disabilities, Equality and Diversity

Students with Disabilities

We welcome applications from students with disabilities / learning difficulties and would like to reassure applicants that decisions to admit students are based on their academic achievements. We encourage students with disabilities/learning difficulties to disclose this as early as possible so the appropriate support and adjustments to the curriculum can be made.

If you did not disclose a disability on your application form or to anyone in the University, you may make a disclosure to any member of staff (but preferably the Disability Contact) in the School by making an appointment. The Disability Contact is the first point of contact for students and staff within the School who have any queries about disability issues.

For further advice students are strongly encouraged to contact either the University's Disability Adviser or the Dyslexia Service.

Equality and Diversity Guidelines

Cardiff University is committed to supporting, developing and promoting equality and diversity in all of its practices and activities and aims to establish an inclusive culture, free from discrimination and based on the values of dignity and respect. There are a number of equality and diversity policies in place to help achieve this, which can be found on the Cardiff University website.
