Deputy Director of Supporter Relations (Head of Alumni and Supporter Relations)

The University seeks an outstanding individual for the senior position of Deputy Director of Supporter Relations (Head of Alumni & Supporter Relations). The successful candidate will join a thriving advancement team, led by TJ Rawlinson, who joined from the University of Bristol two years ago.

The Deputy Director of Supporter Relations will play a pivotal role in the transformation and success of a growing development function, aiming to embed and strengthen alumni and friends’ strategic support for the University, commensurate with a UK-based global top 100 institution.

Role

Innovative and entrepreneurial, the Deputy Director of Supporter Relations will be responsible for the development and implementation of a supporter relations strategy for the University. The post holder will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with key external and internal stakeholders. They will grow, lead and motivate a highly talented supporter relations team with passion and flair.

Operating at the most senior level, candidates must be able to work across the University and with senior leadership to ensure that relevant and measurable strategic targets are set, met and exceeded. Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, you will be responsible for ensuring the University is globally outstanding in its alumni and supporter relations activities.   • a successful track record of high-level stakeholder relations success
  • outstanding team leadership skills across diverse areas including communications, broad-based fundraising, stewardship and events

Salary

Salary will be on the University's senior salary scale (£64,310 - £79,962), commensurate with the experience and achievements of the successful applicant.
