Salary: £24520 - £28401 per annum (Grade 5)

This post holder’s primary role is to develop, manage and support the IT systems relating to School’s Academic Programmes, specifically for an examination marks database, automatic admissions processing and timetabling. The post-holder will assist the BSc and MSc examination board convenors within the School in processing and collating examination results in accordance with University regulations. The post holder will manage and support the School’s use of the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (Learning Central) and create systems to allow the efficient extraction of data for the generation of examination board mark sheets.

You should be highly computer literate, with excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills. You should also have the ability to use initiative and take responsibility. Knowledge of computer science and optimisation is essential as the role requires you to create and develop the computational systems and SQL based databases required for the effective and efficient processing of examination results, and where appropriate undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research student applications, and computer optimised timetabling.
