To mark Halloween, the University libraries will be holding a 'Don’t be afraid of the web' day on Wednesday 31st October.

On Halloween, staff in the libraries will be on hand to help you find out more about accessing the eResources and online information to support your studies. They will also be asking you for feedback on your use of eResources to help improve access our online services.

Libraries across Heath and Cathays campus will be taking part, with activities as varied as:

  • 'Horrific' book display in the Bute Library
  • Bitesize demonstrations of eResources
  • Twitter competition
  • A book swap and word puzzles in Aberconway Library
  • Halloween decorations, competitions, and prizes across the library sites

Helen Staffer, Bute, Architecture and Senghennydd Site Librarian, said: "We hope as many students as possible will visit the libraries on Halloween to share our hints and tips in accessing resources online. We're hoping to build on the success of our 'love your libraries' day back in February, which gave us a lot of feedback to improve our services, by gathering feedback specifically on the online resources available to Cardiff's students."
