Medieval Welsh literary manuscripts (12th-15th C.)

A collection of just about every significant Welsh literary manuscript from the medieval period, bought in the 1990s by the School of Welsh, microfilmed from collections at the National Library of Wales, the Bodleian Library Oxford, British Library in London, and other sources. Titles include: Brut y Tywyssogion, Brut y Brenhinedd, The Laws of Hywel Dda, and Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Brittonum in Welsh.  Subject matter includes poetry and romances, theology and creeds, lives of saints, history, and law.   

Date range: 12th-15th century.

Significance: Significant in Wales and the United Kingdom.

Size: c. 200 microfilms.
