Cardiff University institutional archive (19th-20th C.)
The archives of the Cardiff University (successively known as University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, University College Cardiff, and University of Wales Cardiff), held by the University Records Manager, at Main Building, cover the years from 1883 to date. Also held are records relating to the establishment of a medical department, which later became the Welsh National School of Medicine in the 1930s, and thereafter the University of Wales College of Medicine in the 1970s, before its merger with Cardiff University in 2004.
