Duthie Library Evidence Room
Located in the Duthie Library, the Evidence Room houses a collection of evidence based resources, in print and electronic copy.
The purpose of the Evidence Room is to:
- Allow users quick and easy access to resources specific to evidence based practice
- Allow access to electronic information to library users without access to computer facilities
- Promote and enable practitioners to implement, learn and or teach evidence based practice
Definition of Evidence Based Practice
In May 1995 the Secretary of State launched the Clinical Effectiveness Initiative for Wales with the publication of Towards Evidence-Based Practice. The objective of the initiative is to ensure that all involved in health care should work together and in partnership with patients to increase the proportion of clinical services shown by evidence to be effective.
