As Director of SURE (the Support Unit for Research Evidence) and Associate Director, Research & Academic Engagement I support the work of the team on a wide range of systematic review and other evidence synthesis projects in public health, clinical and social care. I also represent the Unit within and outside Cardiff.

I am a co-convenor of the Cochrane Information Retrieval Methods Group and a member of the Cochrane Public Health Review Group with a role for overseeing the development of Group’s Register of Studies and providing information support to review authors.

As Associate Director, Research & Academic Engagement and Head of Library Service Development, Information Services, I am involved in a range of development initiatives related to information support for the research and learning & teaching missions of the University.

My particular research interests are in public health systematic review methodologies and in improving the quality of library services and information resources.
