Position:Senior Subject Librarian / Consultant: Information Literacy and Collection Development - maternity leave until November 2014

Location:Bute Library

As the Subject Librarian for Planning and Geography, I am responsible for the provision of library services to the School to support their learning, teaching and research. This includes managing and developing the print and online collections, providing library inductions and information literacy training and responding to enquiries.  I also maintain the Information Resources for Planning and Geography web pages and am the site representative for Digimap.

My information literacy role entails co-ordinating and participating in information literacy projects.  These have included the Information Literacy Resource Bank, the Students' Survival Guide to Writing a Good Essay Podcast and, more recently, the development of the Information Literacy web pages.

I am a Chartered Member of CILIP and Membership Secretary of the Information Literacy Sub-Group.  I am also a member of the LILAC (Information Literacy Annual Conference) Committee.
