My work with SURE (the Support Unit for Research Evidence) involves searching for, appraising and summarising current and reliable evidence in health and social care. In addition, I am involved in teaching these skills, providing advice and supporting Cardiff University staff and students who are undertaking literature and systematic reviews.
My current projects include:
- Collaboration between local health and local government agencies for health improvement (Cochrane Protocol)
- Factors that explain the risk of unplanned hospital admission – a systematic review of the literature
- All Wales Systematic Reviews Register
- Information support for Intensive Care Monitor
- A series of systematic reviews defining the evidence base behind the diagnosis of physical child abuse.
- Cochrane Opportunities Fund: Developing inclusive global registers of studies.
