1995- organised and administered the postal questionnaire and compiled the report for the Annual Academic Law Library Survey for UK and Ireland sponsored by the British and Irish Association of Law libraries and the Society of Legal Scholars
1996- devised and led training courses run several times a year for Aslib and the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) on legal information, using the internet and teaching legal research
1996- member of Bar Standards Board for England and Wales validation and monitoring panels for the Bar Vocational Course (BVC); advisor on library and information provision and legal research skills training to the Bar Standards Board
2003- provided consultancy on law library/information provision and legal research skills training to seven UK and two overseas universities
2007- 2008 organised and administered the postal questionnaire and compiled the report of a survey of Heads of UK Law Schools to support research being conducted by the Society of Legal Scholars into standards for academic law libraries
