Archie Cochrane Library

The library and IT room have moved to the new Education Centre, housed in the tall building at the main entrance to the hospital grounds. Please come to the library through the main door of the Centre.

University Hospital Llandough is on the B4267 close to Dinas Powys and Penarth.  The library and IT room are situated in the new Education Centre, housed in the tall building at the main entrance to the hospital grounds. Please access the library through the main door of the Centre.

Further information

The Library and the evidence-based healthcare database called the Cochrane Library are both named after the late Professor Archie Cochrane, who worked for many years in the Cardiff area. He promoted the concept of the randomised controlled trial and the need for evidence based practice.  The Cochrane Archive contains memorabilia relating to his life and work.  More details on application to the librarian.
