Registering for CU-WiFi and eduroam

It is a requirement that any device connecting to the Cardiff University network by any means (other than for CU-Guest-WiFi) MUST have Cardiff University-approved anti-virus software installed and security updates applied (and set to update automatically).

Once we are satisfied that is the case, you will be able to register your wireless network card for use on the wireless network.

If you don't already have anti-virus software on your computer, please see the University's Computer Security and Anti-Virus page. Cardiff University staff and students are able to take advantage of our Sophos licence which means that you are entitled to download and use Sophos Antivirus whilst you are a member of the University.

Each member of staff or student will be issued with one licence. The licence will last for one year and can be renewed at the end of the year (provided you are still a member of staff or a student).

Students connected to the RESLAN network will be automatically registered for the wireless service.
