What is Guest Wireless?

The Guest Wireless access service (CU-Guest-WiFi) is a restricted service which is intended to provide access from a laptop or mobile device to public web pages and web-based email only; other services and programs may not work.

How do I connect to the Guest Wireless service?

Please see the wireless connection pages.

Do I need to register my device to use Guest Wireless?

No. Devices connecting to the Guest Wireless service do not need to be registered in order to use the service.
You will need a Guest Wireless username and password to authenticate onto the network. These can be obtained from your conference organiser or your local Guest Wireless Administrator.

Can I change my password?

You cannot change your Guest Wireless access password. However, your local Guest Wireless Administrator does have this ability and requests can be forwarded to them.

Why does my connection seem slow?

Each wireless access point can handle around 20 users before the connection speed is noticeably affected. There are typically a number of access points in each location. Should you find your connection slow, try moving to an alternate location.

There may be an issue with the wireless service - check the INSRV Status page for further details.
