How do I find the Ethernet address on my PC?
In Windows operating systems, click on either Start...Programs..Accessories..Command Prompt or Start..Programs..Command Prompt and make sure the cursor is flashing within the black box that appears on the screen. Type ipconfig /all and system information will appear on the screen. RIGHT-click on the icon at the top left of the black box and click on Select all. The box will turn white and all the information will be selected. Right-click once more on the same icon and choose Edit and then Copy. Close the box. Now start a new mail message and paste the selected information directly into it. You could of course choose to write down the information and type it into the email, but doing it this way will avoid unnecessary delays due to possible typos.
Alternatively, bring your laptop either to the Julian Hodge Study Centre or 41 Park Place, where an Information Services member of staff will be pleased to help you.

What if I’m connected to the wireless network but I am unable to access the Internet?
First check that you are indeed connected to to the wireless service - there are other private wireless networks on campus that are not under the authority of Information Services, access of those networks may be restricted.
Also check that your browser is configured to use the web cache correctly - if in doubt follow the registration procedure.
